Continuing Education Training Overview:

More often than not, ethical issues present a challenge for clinicians working within the clinical setting. Having awareness of ethics that govern the counselor profession is vital to the clinicians ability to provide their clients, families, peers, and stakeholders with effective services. Ethical Decision Making:Resolving Conflicts within the Clinical Setting will assist clinicians in identifying common ethical challenges faced within the clinician setting and enhance their knowledge of both ethical codes and decision making that would lead to the resolution of ethical challenges.

Continuing Education Training Objectives:

Understand the ACA Code of Ethics and the importance of utilizing Ethical Decision Making within the counseling setting.

Identify major ethical decision making models and how to apply them, with consideration to multi-cultural issues, when faced with ethical dilemma.

Distinguish the difference between practice-based and specialty models.

Recognize the influence personal belief, culture, and counseling style have on your ability to engage in ethical decision making
