“Ready, Set, Grow: Facing Ourselves & Becoming Culturally Responsive Clinicians in a Diverse World”

Dr. Karla was invited to be the Northern California Training Directors (NCTD) Presenter for their Multicultural Training Day Conference on September 17, 2021.

Over a brief few weeks, Dr. Karla worked diligently to develop a presentation that encompassed the vision of the Northern California Trainer Directors Conference Committee and had the most amazing time, virtually, presentating “Ready, Set, Grow: Facing Ourselves & Becoming Culturally Responsive Clinicians in a Diverse World” to over 90+ virtual attendees representing the following 16 Colleges and Universities located in California: Mills College, CSU-Monteray Bay, Stanford University, Pacific University, San Jose State University, Santa Clara University, UC-Davis, CSU-Chico, CSU-East Bay, University of San Francisco, UC-Berkeley (Cal), Humboldt State University, St. Mary’s College, UC-Sants Cruz, San Francisco State University, & UCSF!

Dr. Karla goal was to EDUCATE, ENHANCE, AND EMPOWER during the presentation and was so excited about the response received regarding the her 4 Break Out Empowering I.C.E. Breakers which were Interactive Cultural Exercises that prompt such rich and meaningful discussions among the attendees!
