Dr. Karla was beyond humbled and grateful that the American Counseling Association (ACA) and Florida Counseling Association (FCA) entrusted her with such an instrumental role in Advocating for the Counseling Compact Legislation and providing testimony on behalf of ACA, FCA, and Florida Counseling Professionals before the Florida Senate Health Policy Committee in November 2021.

As Florida joined the Counselor Compact in April 2022 as the 8th State, Dr. Karla was given the opportunity to share my thoughts with ACA Governmental Affairs Liaison D. Marsalek, who curated an amazing article for the June 2022 of Counseling Today, an ACA Publication, entitled “The Counselor Compact: A Story of Success for and by Counselors”.
